Some of the night nurses have been kind of rude, but that's all right. She's had some sponge baths, but I wish that they had brought her into the shower. They have several courtyards and a synagogue where they offer Jewish services on Fridays. The rabbi is wonderful and has stopped by to visit her for several days, which has been awesome. They were also having some kind of a musical event in one of the communal rooms here.

Complaints and Incidents
It’s a pleasant physical environment for those who have to be under care and all of the staff on her unit - on all of the various shifts - know my wife and her idiosyncrasies. Staff respond quickly if I have a question or if anything needs to be adjusted. They create and maintain a sense of calmness and I feel comfortable with my wife’s care under these circumstances. Daughters of Sarah Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is beautiful. Their rehab is fantastic and they have done a great job. The food is so-so, depending on what you order, and nights can be a little tough.
They had one COVID case a few weeks ago and it was confined to that case and everybody else was tested negative in the unit and the staff was tested negative in the unit. I've had stuff in the cafeteria and it was okay and it was OK. The other day I wanted a sandwich and it was made to order for me, what I wanted on it. They have the menu posted for every day in the whole new dining area, and the menus sound interesting. One day he had a choice of sweet and sour brisket or roast chicken.

He has been in and out of care at a number of places and this was by far his best experience. The nurses and other caretakers really got to know him and by the end of his stay they knew all of his jokes and songs. Even the kitchen staff knew his likes and dislikes and preferences. The rehab he received was excellent and he is walking better than he has in several years.
Till now, my husband was eating well and enjoying the food. They have several units and apparently, the staff does not go to other units in the building. They say it's the same stuff all the time with their people.
